I have a friend who used to do it. He went to competitions and stuff, etc.

I was just wondering who here programs robots. I also wanted to keep this particular forum section from being empty. ^_^

A friend of mine at Berkley does. He's the only one I know of. I certainly do not.

I'm in robotics. I'm lead programmer, we've done some crazy crap with the technology given to us.

Pretty cool. You should take a video of your robot working and post it for us to see. =]

Ahh, good idea. When I get one I'll post it up. Our first robot, which is the one we've finished, had many limits... We could only go as far as they'd allow us... So it's not the coolest thing ever.

But, our second robot, it's gonna be like 150 pounds, with hydrolics, etc.

I'm currently part of FIRST robotics (FRC Competition for high schools).

I'm part a LA robotics team and we used to code our robot in C++ but recently (last year) switched to using LabVIEW. It's a mess and a total piece of crap. Nothing makes sense unless you steal examples and study them for days and weeks. We literally coded our robot from tweaking up examples from tutorials. IT SUCKS!!!!!!
