RPG maker?

So, good? Not good? I might be convinced to use it (for fun, so I could write games without having to worry about programming so much) if it weren't $60...three times the price of Gamer Maker >_<

So anybody tried it before? Was it worth the $60?

Meh. Not worth it. It's harder to make an RPG in Game Maker but you definitely have more power over customization amongst other things.

Actually I agree. I had a look at the battle system, and it looks pretty rigid (not a good thing). It's just I don't have time nor interest to program things from scratch any more, yet I still want to make games =p

That's why I like Garageband...all the power I need, for exactly my budget. That is, nothing.

That makes two of us that share the same budget then. ;]

just learn C++. It's a lot funner and you learn A LOT more. edited out next sentence.
