VirtuaLife, MMORPG - Version 0.0.1.7 (OFFLINE FOR A LONG TIME)

Post by luke on 11/3/2009, 6:21 pm

MINIGAME INFORMATION
====================
When submitted, I will need your GMK and any resources (files) it needs to run in a ZIP... That means giving me your source code (GMK).. Don't worry, I don't have time to take it and run XD

Your game has NOOOO limits whatsoever. That means codes/D&D, I don't care. You can make it as bloody as you want to. (Keep the cussing toned down, though)

I do NOT incorporate minigames into VirtuaLife anymore. Here's how the system works:

You are in VL, and want to play a minigame. You go into that minigame's building, and it takes you to the main screen. This screen has highscores of users. If you have not played it previously, VirtuaLife will DOWNLOAD the ZIP file from my server and unzip it.
That ZIP has the game EXE and files necessary.

So, the minigames are completely seperate from the VirtuaLife code.

I *might* make an API that will allow developers to interface with VL, like get variables from it (I.E. money, health, items, etc) and be able to talk to the server. That shall be later though.

So get developing!
====================

This MMORPG is designed for users, wherever they are in the world, to hang out, make friends, and have fun! You can make money to buy stuff in the VL Market by playing arcade games that other users like you create. It'll be great fun in the end.

VirtuaLife, the MMO of Coders Lounge, is still in development. If you've tried it, post up your opinions and you will be on the credits screen as a Beta Tester!

In this thread, I will announce improvements, features, and updates to VirtuaLife. Also, I want to know what YOU think of it. Any requests you have, don't hesitate - your ideas won't get shot down.

Seems cool. I don't know if every thing works or not since I haven't seen anyone online. But it seems like a cool project. I would like to see how the mini-games and money work out. If I feel ambitious, I'll consider making a mini-game for you.

Ah, great to hear it!

So far, all the online capabilities work (with the exception of the moderator tools >.> )

I have some... But the local nerd doesn't have many friends... remember that.

Read my in game post please... That is one of the bugs. I'll post it here too though. You ermm..... HELPED Kt395's acount (3rd person due to having more than one account) and that overloaded his file. A glitch that should be fixed pretty soon...

Also, you might want to get Mr. Moderators corpse out of the virtual fountain before the virtual cops figured out he virtually drowned... Smile
