Python and Basic Empty Python and Basic

Post by ProgrammingLinguist 1/6/2010, 12:14 pm

Python is a programming language mainly used for mathematics or small simulations thanks to its easy to use graphics API (forgot what it's called). It's a lot more difficult coding in Python than C++ because of its English-like language. It takes about 4x the code I believe to make simple programs that do the same thing. Not sure, just read it somewhere. Last time I used Python was maybe a year and a half ago. Or 2. Sucks.

It's a lot like english but has all the capabilities of a regular language like C. I don't know if it has OO though.

Basic is a programming language that is mainly used for general programming purposes. Such as solving a problem, making a small game, etc anything else too. It's as the name suggests, very easy to learn. Only a complete retard would get confused with it. It's not as powerful as C++ because of it's language syntax.

I'm supposed to discuss something? Hmm I guess I'm just introducing some languages seeing as how this section is dead. Anyone coded in either language before? I've done VB.NET stuff but then again, you can make a browser with 1 line of code so it's nothing special.
