The other old forums

So today I googled my username, and I got a link to one of my posts on the old central games forums. I nostalgically searched around the place until I reached the bottom, where I noticed the board had 103 members! So I was thinking, does forumotion's adminCP have a mass/bulk email feature? If so, you could use it on the old board to mass email a notice to all the members of the old board about this new board, and hopefully some of them will register here.

HTML

I was wondering. Would you guys like it if I activated HTML on these forums?

Here's a few pros and cons.

Pros

-More creativity with posts.

-More flexibility.

-Can add multiple spaces using

-More freedom.

Cons

-Immature users can abuse it. (Nothing we can't fix with a little ban ;])

-If the HTML is too severe it can mess with the page. (We can fix this too)

-Spam.

So yea, tell me what you think. :]

Staff suggestion

Although the site is not booming yet, 30 members can still be a handful. I suggest you create a group labeled "staff." Staff's power can either range from mild moderation to creating stickies. Or they can simply only have access to one part of the forums where they can secretly discuss multiple problems or so. They can also help you tremendelously with posts.

I say this because I have the same group in my site, and it does help out more than you know.

Oh, and you should probably ...

It feels pretty chaotic to me. There are a lot of different colors and themes going on at the same time, as well as a hundred different buttons presented all at once.

If it could be filed down some, or just organized a little better, that would be much appreciated.

Oh, and while I'm complaining about stuff, I should not be presented with the ability to edit anyone's post that I so choose. That is, unless I've been made a moderator and didn't know it (which I doubt, because I haven't ...

...head out on the highway....

Anyways, here are a few thoughts I had. I still don't care much for the yoyo forums, even now coming back after another long hiatus. I'm thinking we can mold this into a more enjoyable forum, but right now it seems a lot of us are busy with r/l. I managed to get a few minutes to myself, though, so I started brainstorming some ideas to help us promote this place. Please, feel free to criticize and/or completely rip apart every single idea on this list if ...

I know we're waiting to promote these forums until everyone's off from school, but I figure it would be useful to start brainstorming ideas now. I'd post this in the staff forum but either there isn't one, or I'm not a mod yet, or something. i can't tell in this new forum yet XD Well anyways whenever the rest of that gets done I suppose we can always move this thread or something.

One particular idea I had, if the top ten website thing is too large of a project, is a tutorials oriented ...
