It is suggested that you learn Game Maker's concepts first. Learn from a few tutorials and get really close with D&D.

Alright, so my first conflict was HOW to make this tutorial different from others... I want to make it easy to understand and I want to make SURE that you grasp the concept.

So this will be the order of each and every lesson.

1. Brief introduction as to WHAT we're going to be doing.

2. Basic buildup of the code.

3. Explain each section.

4. Use in an example.

So today I googled my username, and I got a link to one of my posts on the old central games forums. I nostalgically searched around the place until I reached the bottom, where I noticed the board had 103 members! So I was thinking, does forumotion's adminCP have a mass/bulk email feature? If so, you could use it on the old board to mass email a notice to all the members of the old board about this new board, and hopefully some of them will register here.

What's your programming style?

i.e., describe how you format your code. Do you comment a lot, not enough, indent using two spaces or the tab key, put curly braces on their own line, etc.

When I program, I kind of mix and match...I'll put curly braces on their own line, for example, except when I'm getting impatient and I just stack all the statements inside the condition/loop/whatever on one line and surround them with the braces on the same line. Also makes it look neater IMO when ...

Then, because I live only twenty minutes away, my friends and I go to Disneyland probably three or four times a month.

I was wondering. Would you guys like it if I activated HTML on these forums?

Here's a few pros and cons.

Pros

-More creativity with posts.

-More flexibility.

-Can add multiple spaces using

-More freedom.

Cons

-Immature users can abuse it. (Nothing we can't fix with a little ban ;])

-If the HTML is too severe it can mess with the page. (We can fix this too)

-Spam.

So yea, tell me what you think. :]

I say this because I have the same group in my site, and it does help out more than you know.
